Hello everyone. So I'm not really seeing a section for introductions or new players as of this moment. However I didn't want to just pop up out of no-where. So anyway I'm Remi. I'm working on a character by the name of Titania as you can probably guess by the screen name and am heavily considering attending your next event. I wanted to play at Dragon-con, but it just wasn't in the cards so I familiarized myself with the rule book instead. Anyway I'm working on getting my character history submitted and getting her stats set up so that when I do show up I can hit the ground running. Any advice for an incoming noobie?

Hiya Remi! Advice for a newbie? Play what you want, everyone has a place where they fit in, and thanks to our plethora of skill options no choice is "useless" or redundant. Play to the character if that's what you're into, or squeeze every last experience point out of the system if that's more your flavor, but my advice is how I approach all my characters.
"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!"

Well I may or may not have screamed "CAPTAIN GIVE ME RAMMING SPEED!" with this character. So hoping all goes well and everyone enjoys her as much as I am. Thank you so much for the advice! Are there any skills or advantages you've found you've really enjoyed? I'm gonna play what I'm gonna play, but I enjoy hearing what everyone has fun with. Any advice on what to bring to the campsite?

I've really surprisingly enjoyed my Woodsman abilities. And Gambler, Socialite, and Psychology are fun to watch. I play an Alchemist.
As far as the site, its a cabin site much like Harrison Bay with a full kitchen. I'll be bringing some extra food and drinks, as well as my hammock to set up outside. Its typically cooler in October, so a few layers is good. My character sleeps with furs on her bed. They make a nice mattress pad, and keep you warm at night.

Yeah I've been trying to pick skills that I'm naturally good at, are fun and I think will work well together and prove an asset to town. I'm usually very group orientated and while I'm not a big fighter type I've got my character set up to be very helpful to those who are. Ok furs and layers will be a must for me. I get cold super easy. Is there hot water on the site? I don't mind cold showers, but they're not so much fun when it's not 80 degrees out.
