Rules Update: Patch 4.3

General
DPL is 18+ now. We understand that certain individuals who wish to play may be of a particularly mature and/or capable mindset, but this decision is based upon the following: 1) We have had exceptionally mixed success with individual attendees under the age of 18 and while a 50/50 shot is usually decent, in this case, it has distracted from the enjoyment of the game by too many individuals too many times for us to allow it from this point forward. 2) While Dark Passages does not specifically include “adult” content, there have been a number of situations which could very easily be labeled as “mature” content and thus skirts the line where anyone under the age of 18 is concerned; especially considering the nature of most laws regarding interaction with minors. For these reasons, we have determined that we can no longer allow any exceptions for individuals under the age of 18 participating in Dark Passages in any capacity. We apologize for any inconvenience but we must stand firm on this decision.
Regeneration Advantage: After a minute of concentration you can regenerate one limb wound.
Martial Schools and Combat
The tag line for melee strikes more than 1 is Vital Strike X. This came up heavily in feedback. Call your taglines properly.
Magic
All base prerequisite spells and abilities for Circle 1 Magic can be learned at a new character’s first event, and are an exception to the “One Spell per Day” Rule. The prerequisite spells and abilities are: Ward, Stabilize, Dart, Meditation, and Elemental Spell Conversion. These five abilities must be learned BEFORE a character can learn a Circle 1 Magic. This is a reminder, not a rule change.
Circle 1 and 2 spells can be learned once per day at events and in downtimes. Circle 3 and higher can be learned once per event and in downtimes.
Higher circles of Magic must be purchased along with the mana before a character can learn a higher magic circle. If a player manages to learn a high level spell through in play means, but does not have the circle to cast it, they will suffer from manaburn.

Feedback/downtimes due Sun after game at Midnight for staff to have time to work on them before the next event. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please look at your character sheet and make sure that it is accurate. Please double check your math for your EXP, as only 7 players were accurate in counting. If you do not have enough EXP to buy your new skills, you cannot buy your new skills, and they will not appear on your next sheet.
