Rules Update: Patch 4.4
July 2015
General
- Regeneration Advantage: After a minute of concentration you can regenerate one limb wound. Cost is now lowered to 4. Anyone with this Advantage will be refunded the difference in EXP, and will also have the option to remove it entirely if they so wish.
- Blank Character Sheets have been put on the website for ease of use for New Players.
- Character creation form updated for spelling and clarifications.
- Sheng Tai is now a playable culture! New players can now join the war effort! Culture advantage guild contact cause all Guilds want to be in Sheng Tai.
- Kaliska Calling: Jackel now receives the Medium Advantage for free.
- Clarification on Advantages. If an Advantage adds to your Total TSL, it will only add ONE additional towards your TSL, no matter what the rank of the Advantage is.
- One question has been added to your Checkout: Did your character die this game?
- Starting Coin: The cost of improvised weapons has been reduced.
- Attunement mechanics have been added to the website.
- Corruption mechanics have been added to the website.
- Concentration mechanics have been added to the website.
Guilds And Skills
- Secondary Guilds Rules have been made live on the website.
- Geologist Production List added; finding minerals and ores.
- Stealth 5 has been changed: Practical Use: Silent as the Grave
Category: A
Limitation: U
Description: Your steps make no sound or undue disturbance, even upon freshly fallen snow. Also your steps are carefully placed allowing you to dodge any pressure plate traps you might set off.
- Socialite 5 has an additional passive effect: Additionally, your charms have led you to become impervious to any Mesmerize effect, be it magical or otherwise.
- Artifact Deck updated for Historians. Luck Mechanic added.
- Outfitter: The cost of Improvised Weapons has been reduced.
- Guild Rank mechanics have been updated on the website.
- Players can also learn recipes from another player's recipe book, Once Per Event or one per downtime session. This is a reminder, not a change.
Martial Schools and Combat
- New Tagline: Pure. This is a tagline stating that this effect, only works if you have the Pure Soul advantage. Example: Pure Vital Strike 5.
- Updated website charts for clarification of EXP values
- Updated Weapons List to reflect 1 handed VS 2 handed weapons. Two handed weapons are as follows: Great weapons and Polearm. Two Handed weapons can be wielded in conjunction with a buckler and have a base damage of 2. Staff is a two handed weapon, but has a normal base damage of one due to being the longest weapon in game.
- Dragon Style Martial School added for unarmed. Note: new players cannot start with this school.
- Phoenix Style Martial School added for Polearm and Buckler.
- Unarmed Phys-rep requirements are posted under Combat and have anti-charging note.
- Improvised Weapons have been added to the Melee section for clarification of mechanics.
- Clarification: starting players may begin the game with Level 3 of their martial school, but cannot purchase higher ranks until after their first event.
- List of approved Firearm phys-reps has been added.
Magic
- Dream Magic School and its mechanics have been added.
- Secondary and Tertiary Magic Schools have been added.
Reminders/Announcements:
- Bonus EXP as voted on by Players for last event:
- Feedback/downtimes due Sunday after game at Midnight for staff to have time to work on them before the next event. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Off Month IBGAs for August are also due SUNDAY after the event at MIDNIGHT. You can purchase up to 3 extra IBGAs for the month of August.
- Intuition. Once per day per level, you may ask plot for a one word answer
to a specific question, but seldom will the answer be as simple as yes or no. You may ask "How do we defeat enemy x?" but the answer you receive may be "blue" - it is up to you to decipher what the clue entails and how to interpret it. Whatever the case, the inspiration you receive will always be helpful once the puzzle pieces fall into place, which may take a great deal of time if misinterpreted.
- No more posts on Facebook. Forums is the official medium.
DPL social page can still be used for Fluff and character fictions.
- Appendices have not been fully updated; please make sure to check the RuleBook for the latest updates.
- If your Fayren has made a Blood Oath, please see Priscilla after Opening Ceremonies. This will need to be added to your character sheet.
